Kit Harington reveals why he was in Belfast during GoT filming last year [Spoilers]

Tony Cuddihy

If you haven’t seen all of season five of Game of Thrones, it might be best not to read on.

Kit Harington has revealed that he was filming scenes for the sixth series of Game of Thrones in Belfast last year, but that his character Jon Snow is no longer alive. He’s dead. And Harington wants people to believe him.

“I filmed some scenes of me being dead – [jokes] it’s some of my best work,” he joked to Time Out London.

“Look I’m not in the show any more. I’m definitely not in the new series.”

Harington says he does not have a clue what happens throughout the new series but he does, “know how long I’m a corpse for, but I can’t tell you that!”

Recently, the 29-year-old actor told fans that they’d have to get used to the fact that Jon Snow is dead, having been stabbed repeatedly by his brothers in the Knight’s Watch.

“People didn’t want me to die, but he’s dead. So there you go, everyone has to get used to it,” he told Digital Spy.

“I haven’t done Thrones in a while. I had quite a lot of time off last year. I’ve been taking it easy, and relaxing.”
