Kate Demolder

You’re in luck with line-ups this week.

If you, like the rest of the country, are planning are full weekend of couch-lounging to stave off the inclement weather, then you needn’t fret about what to watch – as both Norton and Tubridy boast a panel of guests worth staying in for.

Here’s who will be on both couches this week:

The Late Late Show:

  • Jamie Heaslip – The former Ireland and Leinster number eight saw his time playing professional rugby come to a premature end thanks to injury earlier this year. The Kildare-native will join Tubridy on Friday night to chat about his Grand Slam and Heineken Cup winning career as well as how he and wife Sheena O’Buachalla are preparing for parenthood.
  • Andrew Morton – Long time chronicler of the British royal family Andrew Morton will also be in studio, talking all things royal wedding as the world gears up for the biggest ceremony of the year. Having written a new book about Meghan Markle, charting her life from growing up in the Californian suburbs to joining the highest ranks of one of the world’s most famous royal houses, he’ll be filling viewers in on what’s in store for her.
  • Johnny Logan and Secret Garden – The two Eurovision winners will be joining forces to perform You Raise Me Up, the worldwide hit penned by Secret Garden’s Rolf Lovland and another Irish Eurovision winner, Brendan Graham.
  • Ian O’Connell – 16-year-old O’Connell’s life changed dramatically when he was paralysed from the shoulders down in a bike accident last year. He is on to chat to Tubridy about the challenges he faces and why he wants to encourage people to be positive and live life to the fullest.
  • Luke O’Reilly Kane – A new documentary called My Trans Life, set to explore the lives of young transgender people on their journey to transition, gives an intimate portrait of teenagers like O’Reilly Kane, who will be on with his mum Maura and Nicky Manning to share their stories of how they realised their true selves and the struggles they have encountered since coming out as trans.
  • Late Late Show Antiques Special – Budding restorers, listen up – as Friday night will see the country tune in to a number of craftspeople, including Ryan himself, taking part in this year’s Late Late Show Antiques Special – where skilled professionals aim to make a silk purse from a sow’s ear with their old crocks.
  • Ash – Rounding off the show on Friday will be the musical stylings of rock band Ash, who will also be on to perform some new music.

The Graham Norton Show:

  • Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin – Among the guests on Graham’s sofa are Hollywood stars Reynolds and Brolin, who will be on to chat to Norton about their new film Deadpool 2. The irreverent superhero sequel follows the wisecracking mercenary titular character as he joins forces with three mutants — Bedlam, Shatterstar and Domino — to protect a boy from the all-powerful Cable.
  • David Beckham – Next up is sporting icon and Unicef ambassador David Beckham, who will be on to charm everyone who’s watching, and hopefully talk about his many hairstyles.
  • Vanessa Kirby – On next is Bafta-nominated actor Vanessa Kirby, who is currently appearing in Julie at the National Theatre. Kirby will be on to reflect on the challenges and rewards of playing such an iconic character in this new version of Strindberg’s masterpiece.
  • Joan Armatrading – And finally, music legend Armatrading will be on to chat to Norton about her timeless career and perform I Like It When We’re Together from her new album.
