Late Late show guests december

On the box on Friday night…

I don’t know about you, dear reader, but I am HYPED to find out just who will be appearing on this week’s new edition of The Late Late Show.

The tension is unbearable. The excitement is off the charts. The time is now!

Alright then. Hugely popular comedian Joanne McNally – she of hit podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me and a 62-night run in Dublin’s hallowed Vicar Street – will chat with host Ryan Tubridy about the women who storm the stage at her gigs and how she could have been a doctor.

A big week for Damian Browne concludes with a Late Late appearance. The first man to row from New York to Galway – after 112 days at sea, no less – will discuss conquering Everest in the past and how he managed to cope with solitude on the Atlantic.

Browne will also explain how the expedition almost ended in disaster in Galway Bay during the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The great Charlie Bird will return to the show, following his award of the Freedom of County Wicklow. However, this time the show is going to him as the crew trek to Wicklow for a chat with Charlie and his wife Claire.

Back in the RTÉ studio, Professor Luke O’Neill will talk about his enduring love of science, how life has changed over the past two years, and what exactly makes us human.

Cost of living crisis, you say? That’s right, the Late Late is “going to tackle” said emergency, with expert advice coming from financial guru Eoin McGee, Santis ‘The Caribbean Dub’ O’Garro and ‘Gaff Goddess’ Laura de Barra.

Music comes from enduring rock lads The Coronas and also from rising pop star Flynn.

The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One on Friday 7 October at 9.35pm.
