Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are making another film together

Paul Moore

Amazing news.

Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Shutter Island, The Departed and The Wolf Of Wall Street. Now that’s a good team.

If you thought that DiCaprio and Scorsese wouldn’t be working together on another film, then let the immortal words of Jordan Belfort prove you wrong because” the show goes on!”

Scorsese is currently enjoying a Goodfellas reunion of sorts with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci featuring in The Irishman – a talented up-and-coming actor by the name of Al Pacino is in that film also – but the supremely gifted director is already looking at his next project and reuniting with DiCaprio.

In Roosevelt, the duo will tell the story of US president Teddy Roosevelt.

Deadline has reported that we’re going to see his “military exploits and a political track where he moved from New York Governor to vice president to become at 42 the youngest president when President William Mckinley was assassinated in 1901. His most enduring achievements though came in the area of conservation, including his work around reserves, preserves, national parks and forests. That is of particular interest for DiCaprio and why he is resurrecting playing the subject after a previous attempt at the film years ago didn’t pan out.”

Throughout his career, DiCaprio has reveled in playing real-life characters – Howard Hughes, J. Edgar Hoover, Frank Abagnale Jr. and Hugh Glass in The Revenant come to mind – so we’ve no doubt that he’ll be great in this role.

If you want even better news, it’s reported that DiCaprio and Scorsese are also working on adaptations of the critically acclaimed novels, The Devil In The White City and Killers of The Flower Moon.

They have our money already.
