It looks like there’s a Lilo & Stitch live-action remake in the works

Lilo & Stitch

Ohana means family.

Lilo & Stitch is an incredible movie.

Lilo was a lovable child who was mature beyond her years, and all she ever wanted was a friend.

Stitch, a little blue alien from a different planet came along, and the two were inseparable.

He was wild, and created chaos wherever he went, which made for very entertaining viewing.

And it looks like the 2002 movie is about to go down the same route as loads of Disney movies in recent times, in that it’s getting a live-action remake.

Hollywood Reporter have said that it will join Aladdin, Dumbo, Mulan and The Lion King in the list of Disney movies that will be remade in a live-action form.

Although it’s not normally brought up with the classic Disney movies, it has a bit of a cult fanbase, and spawned a number of sequels and television series.

The studio has hired up-and-comer Mike Van Waes to pen the script for the remake, but there is no talk of a cast just yet.

It’s gonna take a hell of an actor to portray Stitch, so maybe they’re better off going down the CGI route for this one…

All we know is that we can’t wait.

The Jungle Book was remade in 2016 and it was really well received, so here’s hoping that Lilo & Stitch is treated with the same integrity.
