It looks like Avengers: Infinity War is going to be the most expensive movie all time by a wide margin

We’re still fifteen months away from the first installment, but the wheels are already in motion for the first entry into the Avengers: Infinity War movies.

Technically, those wheels have been in motion since the first Iron Man movie, but now with Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Spiderman, Doctor Strange, the Guardians Of The Galaxy and plenty more besides due to join the good fight against the big bad guy Thanos, we always knew that these movies wouldn’t come cheap.

However, according to the Atlanta Business Journal, they’re even more expensive than we expected.

Marvel shoots its movies at the Pinewood Atlanta studios due to some handy tax breaks, and the co-owner Dan Cathy said “We now have on the lot down there now the largest film production ever with a $1 billion budget.”

That’s right. Billion. With a B.

Now, there is a chance the there is some other billion dollar costing (before publicity and promotions!) movie shooting there that nobody has heard of, but that seems unlikely.

Considering that Robert Downey Jnr will be walking away with $200 million for starring in the Infinity Wars, plus there’s the rest of the cast, the directors, the writers, the rest of the crew… you can see how it adds up. Plus the Infinity Wars are technically two movies, so it doesn’t seem too bad, right?

Although bare in mind that Age Of Ultron cost $250 million to produce, but no matter how much money you spend, there’s still going to be a blooper reel.
