People really enjoyed watching the Love Island Christmas Special on Monday night

Love Island Christmas Special

It turns out we’re all still obsessed with the Love Island gang.

Following the massive success of Love Island during the summer, people were always going to be interested in a Christmas Special edition of the show.

Fans just could not wait to see more of their favourite (and least favourite) couples, especially those that are still together.

In terms of what actually went down on this episode, nothing too out of the ordinary happened.

Jack and Dani are still ‘couple goals’, as the kids would say, Georgia and Sam are somehow still arguing over whether or not she was loyal, and Doctor Alex is still at the forefront of everyone’s minds.

He even managed to be the centre of attention simply by posting a picture online.

He took to Twitter to let everyone know he was watching the reunion, and that he most certainly was not watching it alone:

He has since gone back to being a full-time doctor in England following his stint on the reality TV show.

And then, somehow, Brexit even managed to get a mention.

When one of the contestants, Hayley, was asked: “Didn’t you meet Nigel Farage?”, she replied: “Yeah, do you know what, he’s actually alright. He still didn’t learn me nothing though, to be honest.”

She elaborated, saying: “If you want me to be honest, all I know is we’re not going to part of the EU, but it’s not happening any time soon, so I don’t need to worry about it.”

Yep, you could choose between romantic drama or political expertise in this Christmas Special. It really had it all.
