The make and model of Homer Simpson’s car has FINALLY been revealed

Joe Harrington

It’s taken 28 years, but the truth is finally out there, we now know what car Homer Simpson was driving around Springfield and beyond.

The make and model of that pink pile of junk was revealed in the recent episode called Pork and Burns. Drumroll please…

The car is a 1986 Plymouth Junkerolla.

The thing is that Plymouth never actually released a model called Junkerolla, but after looking through the their range during the 1980s, we did find the old Plymouth Reliant which is almost identical to Homer’s car.

The Junkerolla is more than likely a fictional version of the Reliant. Also, 1986 was just three years before The Simpsons first aired which adds reliability to the reference.

It’s a question that’ll definitely come up in Simpsons pub quizzes in the next few years, now you know.
