Man of Steel absolutely crushes all opponents at the Irish Box Office

Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

No. It’s only the biggest floopin’ box office opening in Irish cinemas this year.

That’s right, Warner Bros. have a bit of a Krypton cracker on their hands as Man of Steel took a whopping €1.29 million following its release last week.

According to Josh Berger, President and Managing Director of Warner Bros. UK and Ireland, the studio is “thrilled at the tremendous response we’ve seen from audiences to Zack Snyder’s exciting new vision of the iconic Superhero.”

And the multi-millionaire understatement of the year goes to…

As well as this, the film has broken US Box Office records, becoming the biggest June opening of ALL TIME, taking €125.1 million.

Man of Steel, starring the super-fit Henry Cavill as the titular hero, is on general release across the country now so catch it while you can.
