All of the work on the show done to date will be thrown out.

Shows get cancelled. It is a way of TV life.

Usually it is after a few seasons, or a few episodes and usually it is because nobody was watching it.

Sometimes it is after one episode, that the world will never get to see, much like that now-cancelled Game Of Thrones prequel.

Sometimes, a big show can be cancelled midway through production, as was the case with Disney+ show Book Of Enchantment, which was deemed a bad fit for the new streaming service.

However, it is rare for a show to have its entire writing staff fired and for the show to power on regardless, but this is the case with new Marvel series Tigra & Dazzler Show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show was picked up as a part of four shows, all of which would take place in the same universe (think Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron First and Luke Cage on Netflix) and was set to air on Hulu.

The plot involves “two woke superheroes and best friends, Tigra and Dazzler, as they fight for recognition among powered people who make up the 8 million stories in L.A.”, with one of the voices on the animated show to be provided by the series’ executive producer, Chelsea Handler.

However, the series’ showrunner Erica Rivinoja (Girls’ Trip, The Addams Family) and the entire writing staff have been let go after reported creative differences with Marvel. The writers were apparently 15 weeks into their 20-week production cycle, but now all their work will be scrapped and a new showrunner and writers group will be brought on board.

At the time of writing, neither Marvel, Hulu, nor any of the writers have given an exact reason for the mass lay-off.
