The 23-year-old stunned the audience.
While the Rose of Tralee festivities kicked off over the weekend, last night saw half of the contestants take to the stage.
One of the most impressive was the Meath Rose, Meghan Byrne, a 23-year-old primary school teacher.
When it came to the talent part of her segment, she whipped off her heels and deadlifted 100kg in her big red ballgown.
Her talent was met with cheers and woos from the audience, and viewers online were equally as impressed:

Meghan explained that it was her boyfriend that got her into weightlifting as he owns a gym in Navan. “He got me into weightlifting. I started a few years ago,” she said.
She went onto explain that she playfully calls her boyfriend an “old fart” as he is 11 and a half years older than her. She even told one of the other Roses that he’s 54 and couldn’t believe it when she got away with the fib.
The second installment of the show will air tonight (Tuesday 27 August) at 8pm on RTÉ One, and again after the news at 9.35pm.
