Modern Family

The journey is not over yet…

Beloved sitcom Modern Family has been renewed for one final season, according to a report from entertainment news site Deadline.

The report suggests that salary talks with the show’s all-star cast went right down to the wire but that their services have been secured for one last go around with the Dunphys and Pritchards. Since then, the studio also has signed co-creators/executive producers Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd for another season.

The show — which stars Ty Burrell, Sofia Vergara, Ariel Winter, Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson — was originally planned to end after 10 seasons.

The report suggests that the show’s eleventh season will run for a minimum of 18 episodes, and could feature as many as 22 episodes. The show remain ABC’s best performing comedy, and is its second best performing show overall (behind only Grey’s Anatomy).
