“There’s only one person who’s going to decide what I’m going to do and that’s me.”

Only one more day until the weekend.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve already got that Friday feeling.

Even though, as I’m very well aware, it’s only Thursday (19 May).

But until we get to celebrate the weekend properly, let’s just stay in and watch a few films instead.

Here’s JOE’s top picks for the movies on TV tonight.

Citizen Kane – BBC4 – 9pm

Our top pick tonight has regularly topped lists for the greatest films of all time, and we’d have to agree.

More than 80 years on, Orson Welles’ masterpiece about the rise and fall of a media baron is still essential viewing for film buffs.

What else can we say? It’s Citizen Kane. Give it a watch.

Casino Royale – ITV4 – 9pm

The best Bond movie. Yeah, I said it.

American Made – Film4 – 9pm

Tom Cruise stars as a courier who bites off more than he can chew when he attempts to become a drug trafficker.

The Magnificent Ambersons – BBC4 – 11pm

Another Orson Welles flick, although not as impactful as his first film.

Kill Bill: Volume 1 – Turner Classic Movies – 11.35pm

The Bride’s first outing.

Rocky V – ITV4 – 11.55pm

The worst Rocky film.

The Sand – Horror Channel – 12.45am

What if sand… was alive?! And also, evil?!

Ouija: Origin of Evil – Channel 4 – 1.50am

A horror prequel that’s far better than it has any right to be.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
