An unforgettable turn as the Man in Black.

All-Ireland Final weekend is well and truly underway.

Depending on who you support, you could either be on top of the world tonight, or feeling a bit deflated.

Regardless of the final score, you’ll need something to help you wind down after all the excitement in Croke Park.

And what better way to kick back and relax than with a great film?

Here’s JOE’s top picks for the movies on your television this Sunday (24 July).

Bruce Almighty – ITV2 – 5.55pm

He’s got the power.

The Mask of Zorro – RTÉ Two – 6pm

Antonio Banderas is effortlessly cool in this 90’s swashbuckling adventure.

Walk the Line – Great! Movies – 6.05pm

Our top pick for tonight is a powerful music biography of one of country’s biggest stars, Johnny Cash.

The story of the Man in Black is compelling on its own, but what makes the film unmissable is Joaquin Phoenix’s performance as Cash himself.

It certainly helps that the Joker actor is surrounded by a superb supporting cast, including Reese Witherspoon, who won her first Oscar for her portrayal as June Carter Cash.

Just an excellent film all round, with a brilliant soundtrack to boot. A must watch.

Bend It Like Beckham – E4 – 6.45pm

The highest grossing football film of all time. Hard to believe it’s 20 years old already.

Emma – BBC One – 8pm

One for the Jane Austen fans.

Mission: Impossible – Film4 – 9pm

The original, and still a hell of a ride.

Overboard – RTÉ One – 9.30pm

A genderbent remake of the 1987 comedian, which sees a single mother convincing a rich playboy that they’re married.

Jungle – Virgin Media More – 9.50pm

Daniel Radcliffe is welcomed to the jungle, but they don’t have any fun or games.

The Mule – BBC One – 10.30pm

Clint Eastwood stars and directs in this true story of an octogenarian drug runner.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
