It will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Sometimes the best way to bring the weekend to a close is to curl up on the couch and watch some great flicks. Luckily, there’s a decent choice of movies on TV tonight.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at your options for this Sunday.

Crocodile Dundee – RTÉ2 – 6.10pm

80’s comedy about an Aussie bushman who finds himself in New York City.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again – ITV2 – 6.45pm

2018 prequel/sequel to the massive musical flick based on the songs of Swedish sensations Abba.

Sweet Home Alabama – Great! Movies – 6.50pm

Rom Com starring Reece Witherspoon as a southern woman who has to return to her hometown after reinventing herself as a New York socialite.

Puss in Boots – E4 – 7.20pm

The first of the surprisingly great series of Shrek spinoffs starring Antonio Banderas as the Spanish feline fugitive.

Jaws: The Revenge – ITV4 – 8pm

One of the worst sequels of all time, this fourth and final entry into the Jaws film series is really only worth watching if you’ve gotten bored of your paint drying.

Military Wives – FilmFour – 9pm

Sharon Horgan stars in this 2019 comedy drama about a group of women, whose partners are serving in Afghanistan, forming a choir.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back – E4 – 9pm

Bridget Jones’s Baby – Great! Movies – 9pm

Renée Zellweger returns as the lovable singleton who must now figure out who the father of her child is in this 2016 flick, the third in the series.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw – UTV – 10.15pm

Fast & Furious buddy comedy spinoff starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Rush – BBC One – 10.30pm

Our pick of the movies on TV tonight is this 2013 drama starring Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl. Based on the true story of the rivalry between Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda, Rush features some strong performances and great direction from Ron Howard, with an exhilarating Hans Zimmer score on top of it all.

While it may not be as strong a contender as the excellent Ford v Ferrari, Rush is still well worth a watch and is among the standouts of the movies on TV this evening.

Cobra – ITV4 – 11pm

The film that Sylvester Stallone wanted Beverly Hills Cop to be, where he stars as a street cop who must protect a witness against a nefarious cult.

Allied – FilmFour – 11.15pm

Wartime romance starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard as a Canadian intelligence officer and a French Resistance fighter who fall in love while posing as a married couple during a mission in Casablanca in 1942.

Not Another Happy Ending – Great! Movies – 11.25am

Scottish romcom about a struggling editor trying to cure an author’s writers block.

Stage Mother – Channel 4 – 1am

2020 comedy drama about a conservative church choir director who inherits a drag club in San Francisco. Jacki Weaver, Lucy Liu and Adrian Grenier star.

A Most Violent Year – Great! Movies – 1.30am

Oscar Isaac stars in this crime drama about an ambitious immigrant fighting to protect his business and family in 1980’s New York.
