Tuesday.
Not quite Monday, not quite Wednesday.
There is the small matter of a resurgent Manchester United hosting Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford as the Champions League returns to action, but what will you do after Ole Gunnar Solskjær records yet another dominant victory?
Here’s the rundown of the best movies available on your TV screen tonight, Tuesday 12 February…
The Green Mile – More4 – 9pm
Okay, so this one is on during the football.
Still, not everyone is into the beautiful game so you could do a lot worse than checking in with Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan in this adaptation of yet another Stephen King supernatural wandering.
Criminal – Film 4 – 9pm
You may well ask; how could a film that boasts a cast of Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, Tommy Lee Jones, Michael Pitt and Alice Eve be so strangely generic?
Only one way to find out.
Swordfish – TCM – 11pm
John Travolta goes full John Travolta as a cyber-terrorist with questionable hair (and a fecking soul patch) who faces off against Hugh Jackman’s frost-tipped (seriously, what is with the hair in this movie?) hacker whizz.
Er, the opening scene is good?
Kill Bill: Volume 1 – SyFy – 11.30pm
Uma Thurman steps into Bruce Lee’s iconic yellow jumpsuit as the brings The Bride to life in part one of Quentin Tarantino’s wildly OTT revenge epic.
How I Live Now – Film 4 – 2am
Saoirse Ronan and Tom Holland head up a fairly under-seen dystopian drama about a girl who finds love as the world begins to collapse.
LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
