In a movies kinda mood? Then look no further…

We’ve gone through all of the movies on the telly this evening, and picked out which movies you should watch, and which movies you should avoid…

Wedding Crashers – ITV2 – 9pm

Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are BFFs who frequently attend strangers’ weddings in order to hook up, but the latest nuptial celebrations might be too much even for them.

Fool’s Gold – Comedy Central – 9pm

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson reunite for this action-comedy-romance. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days is much better, watch that instead.

Under Siege – FilmFour – 9pm

This action classic recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Dublin Oldschool – RTÉ2 – 9.30pm

Our main pick for the night is this great modern Irish drama about a generation of young people left with nothing to do but always looking for the next big party.

Emmet Kirwan, Seana Kerslake, Ian Lloyd Anderson and Sarah Greene take centre stage for this story about a broken family reuniting over one long drug-fuelled weekend.

Abduction – Virgin Media One – 10pm

Taylor Lautner headlines this terrible, TERRIBLE action thriller. Avoid.

Mission: Impossible III – E4 – 11pm

This was the exact point in the franchise when these movies started to get really, really good. That bridge scene? With the car slam? Chef’s kiss!

Planet Terror – FilmFour – 11.05pm

The half of the Grindhouse that wasn’t directed by Tarantino. An all-star cast feature in this gross action-horror.

US Marshals – ITV4 – 11.05pm

The sorta-sequel to The Fugitive has Tommy Lee Jones once again chasing down a man on the run.

Mr Wonderful – RTÉ One – 11.40pm

Matt Dillon stars in this 1993 rom-com about an ex-husband trying to find a new man for his ex-wife so he can stop paying alimony. We wonder if he’ll fall in love with her again along the way…?

The Cabin in the Woods – FilmFour – 1.10am

A brilliantly funny and smart meta-horror, with a group of sex-driven teens left alone in… yep… a cabin in the woods, and then all hell breaks loose…

Misery – Channel 4 – 1.50am

“Do you know about the early days at the Kimberly diamond mines? Do you know what they did to the Native workers who stole diamonds? Don’t worry, they didn’t kill them. That would be like junking your Mercedes just because it had a broken spring. No, if they caught them, they had to make sure they could go on working, but they also had to make sure they could never run away. The operation was called hobbling…”
