We all remember our first time.

Nothing says Valentine’s Day more than watching all 12 seasons of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia in one sitting, and Netflix agrees, which is why they have revealed their Irish members’ “firsts”.

We all remember that first binge. It was sweaty, overwhelming, full of rookie mistakes and something you wanted to tell all your friends about the very next day. Not everybody made the right choice. For example, this reporter accidentally chose a 16-hour Korean soap opera, mistaking it for something else completely, but fortunately, it seems most other users landed on the right footing.

According to new data from the streaming service, the top “firsts” were Breaking Bad, Orange Is The New Black and House of Cards.

They also found on average that users embarked upon their first binge within 12 days of signing up, or roughly the third date, while 90% of all users who joined since October 2012 have viewed a series in such a way as to constitute bingeing (i.e. watching over 6 episodes in one sitting).

While the majority of binges were around the tense and nail biting thrillers such as Narcos, Prison Break and Breaking Bad, a few sitcoms have cracked the top 20, including The Inbetweeners and It’s Always Sunny.

The Top 20 Irish “First Binges” are as follows:

  1. Breaking Bad
  2.  Orange is the New Black
  3. House of Cards
  4. Narcos
  5. Stranger Things
  6. Peaky Blinders
  7. Making a Murderer
