They've gone and done it again!
This week, Netflix announced that they were cancelling Uncoupled - the rom-com series starring Neil Patrick Harris, from the creator of Sex & The City and Emily In Paris - after just one season.
The show launched on Netflix in July 2022, and upon release remained in the top ten most-viewed shows for the week of release, as well as scoring a decent 75% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
Earlier in January, the creators of 1899 took to Instagram to declare that Netflix had cancelled their show after one season:
"With a heavy heart we have to tell you that 1899 will not be renewed. We would have loved to finish this incredible journey with a second and third season as we did with Dark. But sometimes things don’t turn out the way you planned. That’s life. We know this will disappoint millions of fans out there. But we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts that you were a part of this wonderful adventure. We love you. Never forget."
The supernatural mystery thriller debuted on Netflix on 17 November 2022, just six days before Wednesday - one of Netflix's biggest shows of the year - and it joins an ever-expanding list of high-profile Netflix original shows that have been cancelled after one season.
While some shows did have a longer run before being pulled (Fate: The Winx Saga - two seasons, GLOW - three seasons, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - four seasons), the following list is the full list of Netflix original series that have been cancelled after their first season debuted:
