Comedy, horror, superheroes and one of the greatest movie romances of all time.
While Netflix has revealed its full schedule of new releases coming to the streaming platform throughout March, they’ve also just added a list of big movies to its library.
Chances are there is one or more of these haven’t seen before, or at least one absolutely brilliant movie that you’ll definitely want to rewatch.
BRIDGET JONES’ BABY
The third outing in the Bridget Jones saga sees Hugh Grant replaced by Patrick Dempsey in the love triangle already featuring Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth.
After the unfunny mess of the first sequel, this was definitely a return to form for the rom-com series.
CUJO
This 1983 horror based on a Stephen King story is basically about a family being hunted down by a dog that has been driven mad by rabies. Scarier than it sounds, tbh.
THE ENGLISHMAN WHO WENT UP A HILL BUT CAME DOWN A MOUNTAIN
Hugh Grant and Colm Meaney star in this cute dramedy about two cartographers who arrive in a small Welsh village and declare that their local mountain is actually a hill.
So, the locals devise a plan to reinstate the mountainous title.
HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION
Arguably the worst entry in the franchise, this picks up directly after the surprisingly great Halloween: H20, with Michael Myers now hunting down (checks notes) Busta Rhymes, Tyra Banks and Kevin from American Pie.
HER
One of the greatest movies about love and loneliness.
Joaquin Phoenix finds himself falling in love with his technological operative system (voiced by Scarlett Johansson), despite the fact that she isn’t a physical entity.
THE MASTER
Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights) amasses a killer central trio – Amy Adams, Joaquin Phoenix, the late great Philip Seymour Hoffman – for this powerful psychological drama that is partly inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
SAVE THE LAST DANCE
Julia Stiles headlines one of those dance movies that seemed to take over in the 200os, that we all loved despite not actually being very good.
SPIDER-MAN 2
In the constantly updating argument around what is the greatest comic book movie ever made – which we can now add The Batman to – this Spidey sequel is definitely getting a mention.
THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR
One of the greatest spy movies ever made.
Robert Redford, Faye Dunaway and Max von Sydow star.
TROLLS WORLD TOUR
An impressive voice cast including Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Rachel Bloom, James Corden, Kelly Clarkson, Anderson .Paak, Sam Rockwell, George Clinton and Mary J. Blige sing loud songs against bright animated backdrops.
The kids will love it.
UNITED
Jack O’Connell, David Tennant and Sam Claflin star in this retelling of Manchester United’s “Busby Babes”, the youngest team to win the Football League, before meeting with a tragic end in 1958.
