Loads of new additions on Netflix to enjoy this weekend.

Netflix has added some comedies, thrillers, dramas and romances to the library for you to check out. Starting with…

BARB WIRE

To celebrate the release of the very, very good documentary Pamela, Netflix has also given us access to the accidentally very camp sci-fi action movie that essentially ruined Anderson’s hopes at a film career.

CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 1 & 2

Two of the most consistently funny and vastly underrated animated movies of the 21st century.

CLOVERFIELD

The found-footage monster movie recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. Still a fantastically entertaining thriller.

COME PLAY

This 2020 horror tells the story of a young boy who gets tormented by a demon via his smartphone. 56% on Rotten Tomatoes feels about right.

FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS

The first of two movies about best friends who try to have sex without catching feelings. This one stars Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.

GHOSTBUSTERS

The 2016 all-ladies comedy rebootquel is both better than you’d heard, and not as good as it should have been, considering the talent involved.

NO STRINGS ATTACHED

The second of two movies about best friends who try to have sex without catching feelings. This one stars Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.

SEVEN POUNDS

Will Smith stars as a man who is guilt ridden after his mistake results in the death of seven people, so he attempts to make it right in the lives of seven strangers. Rosario Dawson, Woody Harrelson and Barry Pepper co-star in this too-mawkish drama.

TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES

At one point in time, this was the single most expensive movie ever made. Looking back, that seems quite quaint. Despite not being nearly as good as the first two, there are still a lot of great action sequences to be enjoyed in this threequel.

THE VOW

Rachel McAdams falls into a coma, and when she wakes up, she doesn’t recognise her husband Channing Tatum, who must try to win her heart from scratch all over again. Tries to recapture the magic of The Notebook, mostly fails.

ZOOM

We’d never heard of this movie. Tim Allen, Courtney Cox, Chevy Chase and Kate Mara star in a comedy about a retired superhero forced to train a group of new recruits. 4% on Rotten Tomatoes explains why it has been off our radar for so long.
