Brought to you by NOW

Including some of the most anticipated shows of 2022, and arguably the best blockbuster of the last few years…

March was a great month for NOW members, including the recent arrival of all eight episodes of James Gunn’s epic Peacemaker (which you should check out ASAP if you haven’t already), as well as the addition of Malignant, one of the most talked about scary movies of recent years.

The folks at NOW have given us a sneak peak of what to expect in April, so all of the below (and more besides!) will be available to stream with your NOW Cinema Membership and your NOW Entertainment Membership throughout the month.

Starting with…

Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty

Streaming weekly from Monday, 28 March.

From Adam McKay, one of the minds behind Succession, this 1980s-set sports drama delves into the professional and personal lives of the Los Angeles Lakers team (including legendary NBA stars Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) and their managers and team owners, both on and off the court. John C. Reilly headlines an impressive all-star cast.

Check out our exclusive Irish interview with John C. Reilly about the project right here:

The Many Saints of Newark

Stream from Friday, 1 April.

The prequel movie to The Sopranos tells the story of a young Tony Soprano (played by James Gandolfini’s own son, Michael Gandolfini), and how his friends and family helped to mould him into the master criminal he would eventually become. JOE chatted to the legendary Ray Liotta himself about his role in this movie, and you can check out that interview in full right here:

Raised By Wolves Season Two

Stream every episode from Wednesday, 6 April.

We return to this epic sci-fi story centred around a group of human children and their android protectors attempting to start a new life on an alien world after Earth has been essentially destroyed. But some other human survivors, as well as some threats native to the planet, bring a lot of trouble to this makeshift family.

Antlers

Stream from Saturday, 9 April.

A truly unsettling horror movie about a small town teacher (Keri Russell) and her sheriff brother (Jesse Plemons) who believe a young boy has a potentially very disruptive home life. When they go investigating, they discover something truly terrifying…

The Boss Baby 2: Family Business

Stream from Saturday, 9 April.

The sequel to the hit 2017 animated movie sees the business-minded babies take on an evil professor who wants to remove childhoods worldwide. The great voice cast list includes Jeff Goldblum, Amy Sedaris, James Marsden, Alec Baldwin, Lisa Kudrow, Eva Longoria and Jimmy Kimmel.

Dune

Stream from Friday, 15 April.

Arguably the best blockbuster of 2021, this HUGE sci-fi action epic sees an all-star cast delve into an intergalactic war, potentially dismantling the future of how the universe as we know it is ruled. It also has giant sandworms trying to eat people, so there truly is something for everyone.

Stillwater

Stream from Friday, 22 April.

Matt Damon headlines this powerful drama from the director of Spotlight, about an American man who travels to France to help his daughter (Abigail Breslin) who he believes has been wrongfully imprisoned for murder. We chatted to Damon about the movie, and you can check out that interview in full right here:

The Rising

Stream every episode from Friday, 22 April.

When a young woman discovers she is dead, her spirit hangs around in the world, scared and confused. However, when she discovers that she has been murdered, she takes it upon herself to help her friends and family find her killer, even from the afterlife. A potentially brilliant supernatural thriller.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Stream from Friday, 29 April.

The sequel to the hit 2018 movie has Tom Hardy return as the Eddie Brock, the journalist who also happens to be housing an incredibly powerful alien symbiote. This time, they find they’re the target of a serial killer (Woody Harrelson), who has developed a taste for Eddie’s powers. We chatted to the movie’s director Andy Serkis, and you can check out that interview in full right here:

All of these movies and shows – and plenty more besides! – will available to stream with your NOW Cinema Membership and your NOW Entertainment Membership.
