New Netflix true crime documentary series looks like a must see

Stephen Porzio

The show will chronicle the hunt for a notorious serial killer.

With the likes of shows such as Making a Murderer, The Keepers, Tiger King and The Ted Bundy Tapes, Netflix has truly cemented itself as the place to go for gripping and shocking true crime documentaries.

In fact, the streaming service even dubbed itself “the home of true crime” when announcing its slate of upcoming documentaries recently.

In keeping with this, Netflix will premiere its new series The Raincoat Killer: Chasing a Predator in Korea later this month.

The three-part show will chronicle the hunt for South Korean serial killer Yoo Young-chul, who murdered at least 20 people from 2003 to 2004 across the country’s capital of Seoul.

He specifically targeted female sex workers and wealthy elderly people.

The Raincoat Killer will feature the detectives and criminal profilers who worked on the case.

They will reveal how they investigated the killings and finally brought Yoo to justice.

The documentary is set to arrive on Netflix in Ireland on 22 October. You can watch a trailer for the series on the streaming service here.
