We might not yet be done the White Walkers.

As always, if you haven’t seen the recent episodes in Game of Thrones, consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.

As Game of Thrones fans get set for the final two episodes, there are countless questions that still have to be answered but the biggest one is still the issue that we’ve all been wondering about since the very first episode aired, who’s going to take the Iron Throne?

At present, that’s the main focus on the show as the supernatural element of the White Walkers appears to have ended following Arya’s fatal blow to the Night King in the Winterfell Godswood.

At present, it appears that the show has finished with the Night King’s arc because it’s more concerned with the imminent war for the Iron Throne.

However, when the Game of Thrones showrunners, David Benioff and D.B Weiss, were asked on Jimmy Kimmel if the show was completely done with the White Walkers, they gave a fairly cryptic reply and refused to answer the question.

We already know that the army of the dead are going to be seen in the new Game of Thrones spinoff show that’s being written by Jane Goldman.

In fact, George R.R. Martin got in some bother with HBO after he referred to it as ‘The Long Night’ and the synopsis reads: “Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”

During a recent interview on Newstalk, the man who plays the Night King, Slovakian actor and stuntman Vladimir Furdik, has said that there are still plenty of mysteries that are yet to be explored about the character.

During the interview, Sean Moncrieff asks Furdik why the Night King didn’t die when Daenerys’ dragons unleashed their fire upon him?

“Maybe he has the same blood as Daenerys. Who knows?, said Furdik.

While the theory that the Night King is a Targaryen has been doing the rounds for quite some time, we’re still extremely sceptical.

When asked if the show’s creators have deliberately left some mysteries surrounding the character, Fudrik replied by saying yes.

To be honest, we’d love to see the mythology, history, and reasoning of the White Walkers explored because there’s still so much that’s left to be answered, mainly this.
