OFFICIAL: Daniel Craig will return as James Bond

Paul Moore

Bond 25

His licence to kill has been renewed.

To be fair, you would expect the world’s greatest spy to be skilled when it comes to keeping a secret and remaining calm under pressure.

Only yesterday, Daniel Craig told Boston radio station Magic 106.7 that “no decision has been made” regarding his return to the Bond franchise, but in an interview with Stephen Colbert, the star of Layer Cake and Lucky Logan has confirmed the news.

Being a gent, the actor did apologise to all those news outlets that asked him the question regarding his future as Bond, but he did say that he knew the news for “a couple of months.”

“We’ve been discussing it, we’ve just been trying to figure things out,” he said. Regarding his ‘slashing the wrists’ comment, Craig jokingly said that it was a stupid remark but he always fancied a return to the role.

The next Bond film, the 25th in the series, is due out in November 2019 and Craig has said that he”wants to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”

Craig has played Bond in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.

We can’t wait.
