“There are definitely going to be more secrets and more twists and turns.”

With the new year quickly approaching, TV fans will already be looking ahead to some of the shows that are returning in the next 12 months.

Well, since arriving on Netflix, Dead to Me has proven to be a massive hit and Season 2 of the show has now wrapped filming.

Linda Cardellini confirmed the news earlier this week, when she shared a photo from the last day of filming.

“Last day of shooting @deadtome #season2 today. THANK YOU to the brilliant and incredible #christinaapplegate & @thelizfeldman for everything every day,” she wrote. “I love you both.”

“PS- We are very excited for everyone to see what we have been doing…” she added.

In case you haven’t seen it, the series is about a friendship that blossoms between Jen, a tightly wound widow, and Judy, a free spirit with a shocking secret.

Jen is determined to solve her husband’s recent hit-and-run murder, while Judy has also recently suffered her own tragic loss. When the two women meet at a support group, they become unlikely friends despite their polar opposite personalities.

Cardellini said that Season 2 will have more secrets, twists and turns in a recent interview with  The Hollywood Reporter.

“There are definitely going to be more secrets and more twists and turns, so we can count on that — I knew there was a twist in the first episode when I read the first season, but I didn’t realise how each episode would be, that the show would turn and twist as the season went on. So I’m really excited about that,” she said.
