Our TV movie pick for tonight (Monday, 22 September) is Basic Instinct, the 1992 neo-noir thriller.
Homicide detective Nick Curran (Michael Douglas) has a messy past and a weakness for trouble.
When a famous rock star is found brutally murdered, all eyes turn to the ice-cool Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone), a bestselling author whose fiction mirrors the crime a little too closely.

The intelligent, beautiful woman is completely unfazed by the police’s suspicions.
As Nick gets pulled deeper into her world, the line between suspect and lover begins to dangerously blur.
Directed by the renowned Paul Verhoeven (Total Recall, Starship Troopers), the film sees a career-defining performance from Stone.
The film pushed boundaries when it first hit cinemas, and beyond the infamous interrogation scene, the thriller plays with power, control and desire in a controversial manner.
It's the ideal movie if you're after something tense, clever and dripping with atmosphere, this is one to stay up for.
Basic Instinct is airing on TV tonight on Legend at 11.15pm.
