First insanely tense trailer for Ozark Season Two reveals the date the show will return to Netflix

“People make choices. Choices have consequences.”

It was a surprise to everyone when the normally-funny Jason Bateman placed himself front-and-centre for the incredibly dark thriller series Ozark when it hit Netflix last year, but then Bryan Cranston was in the exact same position for Breaking Bad, and that worked out pretty well…

Bateman and Laura Linney play husband-and-wife who are caught up in the obviously shady world of drugs cartels, and just as they’re beginning to settle in to their situation, some new arrivals in town will drop into some even hotter water than last time.

The new teaser didn’t give too much away, aside from some very efficent editing and mini-glimpses at some very violent scenes, and anyone who has seen the first season of Ozark, will already know that this is a show that isn’t afraid to shy away from some of the nastier sides of the drug trades.

Best of all, all episodes of the second season will be arriving sooner than we thought, and the creepy violence will kick off on Netflix from Friday 31 August.
