Pat Shortt Hey Olympia Theatre Dublin January 2019

His new show kicks off in the new year.

Versatile funnyman Pat Shortt is back with a brand new stage show, and he’s taking it to one of the capital’s most iconic stages.

‘Hey!’ debuts in the Olympia Theatre at the start of next year, running over three nights from Thursday 10 to Saturday 12 January, 2019.

Shortt’s turn in A Skull in Connemara earlier this year led our man Rory Cashin to proclaim the actor as perhaps Ireland’s most underrated performer right now.

“[Shortt is] capable of shading the performance with so many layers that you don’t notice he’s gone from jovial to creepily intimidating without warning, but when he does imbue the character’s potentially dangerous characteristics, the stage crackles with intensity,” said Rory back in August.

His latest quirky look at Irish life features brand new material and sketches, “a rogue’s gallery of oddball characters, bizarre situations and even a song or two.”

Tickets for Hey! are on sale now via Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.
