This new show on RTÉ looks very, very good

Paula

Paula looks well worth a watch…

The first of a three part series commissioned by RTÉ and the BBC, called Paula, will debut on RTÉ One at 9.35pm on May 24.

Irish actress Denise Gough plays Paula, a young teacher who gets entangled with a dodgy character named Owen McDonnell following a one-night stand between the pair.

There is an instant, animalistic, spark of attraction between the pair on screen before they become locked in a world that will lead to their destruction.

RTÉ have released a trailer of the show, and from what we’ve seen of it, it looks intense, gritty and almost certainly worth a watch on a drizzly Tuesday night.

The thrilling revenge series has been created by playwright and filmmaker Conor McPherson.

What better way to spend your Wednesday?
