The show itself has been filmed everywhere from Manchester and Liverpool, to Cheshire, Lancashire, Scotland and more. The closest it has ever come to filming in the actual city of Birmingham itself is Black Country Living Museum, which appeared in season six.
Sweeping past the question regarding a potential seventh season, Knight went on to tease that as well as some "familiar faces", there will obviously be some new characters added into the mix and hopes to break ground on production within the "next 18 months".
The 62-year-old Peaky creator, who also wrote the BBC's period drama Taboo, is part of the creative team helping deliver the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Being held in Birmingham this year, Knight is executive producer behind the event's opening ceremony which kicks off on Thursday, 28 July.Explore more on these topics:
