People are still absolutely raving about The Defiant Ones on Netflix

Put it on your list…

On 23 March, Netflix subscribers outside the US and Canada gained the privilege of being able to watch The Defiant Ones, the HBO documentary mini-series chronicling Dr. Dre’s and Jimmy Iovine’s decades-long partnership.

The series originally aired on HBO back in July 2017, is an epic chronicle of the two men’s careers and collaboration during the rise of gangsta rap in the 80s, and growth of the music industry over the next ten years and its eventual decline due to arrival of the internet.

The award-winning series is directed by Allen Hughes, who conducted extensive interviews with both men, and is wonderfully done from an audio and visual sense.

The four-part series also features interviews with a range of big names, with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Eminem to Stevie Nicks and Bruce Springsteen offering insight into the partnership.

It’s coming up to a month since its release on Netflix, and every day more and more people are taking to social media to heap praise on the series.

We can’t recommend it enough.
