PICS: Liam Neeson just gave an Irish bar in New York a brilliant gift
A class gift for the New York bar...
Liam Neeson is one of the biggest actors in the world, hence his inclusion last week on a list of the highest grossing box office stars of all time.
But, aside from being a national hero and running around fighting for independence (Michael Collins), he's also a sound fella.
Neeson starred in the Martin Scorsese's historical crime drama Gangs of New York a few years back, where he played Priest Vallon, the leader of the immigrant Irish who was killed by Bill "The Butcher" Cutting (Daniel Day-Lewis).
In the movie, Vallon wields a big Celtic cross as a weapon.

Yesterday Neeson visited the famous Irish-American bar in New York, The Dead Rabbit, and shocked the owners when he left them Priest Vallon's famous Celtic cross from the movie.
What a nice guy...
