It's one of the best movies of the decade so far.

Our TV movie pick for tonight (Tuesday, 28 October) is 2021 drama-thriller, Pig.

Nicolas Cage stars in the movie as Rob, a former chef living a reclusive existence deep in the Oregon wilderness who supports himself by foraging for truffles with the help of his beloved pig.

One night, however, Rob is attacked by assailants who steal the animal - leading the recluse to return to the city he once called home in an effort to get the pig back.

What begins as essentially "John Wick but with a pig instead of a dog" quickly evolves into a haunting but beautiful meditation on love, grief and regrets as we learn more about Rob's past as he embarks on this odyssey to retrieve the animal.

The film also sees Cage give one of his very best performances as this intense, quiet man who you never doubt has this incredible well of emotions lurking just beneath his tough exterior.

And if you don't believe us, Pig holds a near-perfect 97% Rotten Tomatoes score - making it Cage's second highest rated movie on the website.

The film is airing on Film4 tonight at 1.30am.
