Unlucky for some, but not if you’ve got Prime Video…

For maybe the last time in 2022, Prime Video has added a load of movies to its library for its subscribers to enjoy.

And so, in alphabetical order, we start with…

A QUIET PLACE

Writer, director and star John Krasinski delivers this incredibly tense horror movie, in which creatures attack anything that creates a sound. Real life wife Emily Blunt also plays his on-screen partner, as they try to protect their kids in this new world.

Check out our interview Krasinski himself about the movie right here:

CAROL

A staggeringly brilliant romantic drama, featuring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara as two women who fall in love with each other, at a time when such a romance was highly forbidden.

GROWN UPS/GROWN UPS 2

The first one is pretty bad. The second one is REALLY bad.

HARRY BROWN

Michael Caine headlines this revenge thriller, playing a retired marine who takes aim at the men who killed his best friend.

THE IMITATION GAME

Benedict Cumberbatch stars in this WWII biopic, as the genius who cracked the German’s communications code, only for this own government to turn on him when his sexuality is revealed.

LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

After a failed first date, two people (Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel) are forced to depend on each other when they are both named the guardians of their recently deceased friends’ children.

MEN

One of the most-talked about horror movies of 2022.

SUPERINTELLIGENCE

A woman (Melissa McCarthy) discovers that she is the only thing stopping a sentient AI creation from destroying mankind. Despite that synopsis, it is actually a pretty decent comedy.

TAMMY

On the opposite end of the McCarthy comedy scale, this one is NOT funny.

THE UNICORN

When a young woman discovers that the secret to her perfect parents’ marriage is regularly having threesomes, she sets off with her own partner to examine their own relationship. 91% on Rotten Tomatoes!

WHITE BOY RICK

Matthew McConaughey stars in this biographical drama as the father of the younger FBI informant ever, who gets caught up with some very shady drug dealers.

WONDER WOMAN

The first (and best) of the recent Gal Gadot-fronted superhero epics.
