Amazon Prime Video has just quietly added 10 big movies to its library

Rory Cashin

Loads of new additions to their library to enjoy over the LONG bank holiday!

On top of attempting to bring back the erotic thriller this weekend, Amazon Prime Video has also just added ten big movies to its service for us to enjoy.

Comedy, drama, thriller, action, and some family-friendly stuff too!

ALAN PARTRIDGE: ALPHA PAPA

The big screen outing for Alan Partridge sees him in the middle of a hostage situation at the radio station he works at, believing he’s equipped to be negotiator when a co-worker (Colm Meaney) takes over the building.

JOE actually recently chatted to Steve Coogan ahead of him bringing Alan Partridge back, and you can check out that interview in full right here:

BROKEN CITY

A tense political thriller about an ex-cop (Mark Wahlberg) who finds himself double-crossed by the city’s mayor (Russell Crowe) and goes on a mission of revenge.

CLUELESS

One of the most iconic 90s comedies, with a pitch-perfect Alicia Silverstone headlining this modern-day remake of Jane Austen’s Emma. Also, it is likely that this was the movie-going world’s proper introduction to Paul Rudd.

ESCAPE FROM PLANET EARTH

An alien crash-lands on the notoriously dangerous planet known as Earth and tries to hide out before he can be rescued. Family-friendly animated movie with a voice cast including Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ricky Gervais, Jessica Alba and more.

IGOR

Another animated comedy, this telling the story of an evil scientist’s hunchback assistant, who actually dreams of becoming a scientist himself! Voice cast includes John Cusack, Molly Shannon, Steve Buscemi and Jennifer Coolidge.

LAST ACTION HERO

Arnie’s first big screen flop has actually been given a new lease of life thanks to a retroactive love for this post-modern take on the action genre. Weirdly, for an Arnie movie, it was probably too smart for its own good at the time.

LEGEND

Ronald Kray (Tom Hardy) and Reginald Kray (also Tom Hardy) are identical twin gangsters who ruled London during the 1960s. A good movie if you like Tom Hardy.

MACBETH

Michael Fassbender headlines this adaptation the Shakespeare epic, a wannabe king driven mad by his own unwieldy ambition. Marion Cotillard, Paddy Considine and Jack Reynor fill the supporting ranks.

THE POSTCARD KILLINGS

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Famke Janseen star in this thriller about a detective and a journalist who team up to track down a killer who targets newlyweds on their honeymoons around Europe.

ZOMBIELAND

Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin star in this horror-comedy set in a post-apocalypse, zombie-ridder world, and four strangers decide to travel together, thinking it will increase their chances of survival.
