#WhatsWrongWithMiles

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for The Prodigy.

Plot’s It All About?

Some trailers ruin everything, giving away all the good stuff, spelling out the entire plot, yada yada yada.

Not so much for The Prodigy, which smartly takes place almost entirely in just one scene, setting up the story perfectly with just two characters having a conversation, before delivering one of the best jump-scares we’ve seen all year. (Spoiler?)

The story is simple enough: A mother (Orange Is The New Black’s Taylor Schilling) concerned about her young son’s (Jackson Robert Scott) disturbing behavior thinks something supernatural may be affecting him, and sends him to see a psychologist (Colm Feore).

Coming from the screenwriter of the new take on classic Stephen King tale Pet Semetary, as well as the upcoming Netflix horror show Nightflyers (based on a book by George R. R. Martin), this already has some horror pedigree behind it.

Seriously though, that jump-scare. Prepare yourselves!

Starring: Taylor Schilling, Colm Feore, and Jackson Robert Scott.

Director: Nicholas McCarthy

Irish release date: TBC, but the US release date is 8 February 2019, so we shouldn’t be too far behind.

Enjoy…
