A case which had reverberations around the globe was that of Amanda Knox and her then boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, who were wrongly convicted of the murder of British student Meredith Kercher in Italy in 2007.

Meredith Kercher (21) was murdered at the apartment she shared with Knox in the Italian city of Perugia.

The trial of Knox and her boyfriend was one of the most talked about trials in the last century.

Knox spent four years in jail, was twice convicted and twice exonerated of involvement in the killing, with the case finally getting thrown out for good by the Italian Supreme Court in 2015.

Knox will be appearing on the Ray D’Arcy Show this weekend to discuss her time in prison in Italy for the crime she was subsequently cleared of and the many twists and turns on her journey to freedom.

It’s definitely worth tuning into if you’re staying in on Saturday.

The Ray D’Arcy show will air at 10pm on Saturday on RTÉ One.
