Room To Improve are looking for applicants for their new season

Rory Cashin

Of all the shows currently on RTE ONE, pretty much everyone is in agreement that Room To Improve is one of the best.

We all love it when host Dermot Bannon is presented with the project, and then has to spin the plates of being the designer, the project manager and also a mediator between several parties.

Whether he’s working on a massive fixer-upper or kicking off a whole new build, Bannon never quits fighting the good fight, even when it appears to be at complete odds with what the home-owners realise they want.

Having ploughed through ten seasons already, the folks behind Room To Improve are now in need of new applicants that will allow our infamous architect to achieve his vision – but really, we’re all just waiting for the next big (albeit hopefully very polite) blow out.

If you reckon you’ve got the project it takes to tickle Bannon’s fancy, then you can apply online here, or you can download the paper application here and send it off to RTE at your own leisure.

And in case you’ve never seen an episode of the show, this cartoon sums it up nicely.
