With the property market facing its own major crisis and rental prices soaring nationwide, young adults are being left with no other option but to move back in with their (oftentimes, hesitant) parents.

It’s been reported that a quarter of people aged between 25 and 34 in 2018 are still living in their family home, and it doesn’t look like that situation is set to change over the next little while.

If you’re among those with whom that situation resonates, then you might be interested to know that the RTÉ2 series, This Crowded House is currently taking applications for its next season.

Hosted by Brendan Courtney, the widely-popular series is looking for people in their 20s, 30s and even 40s who are still living at home.

These home dwellers are offered the chance to tell their stories and seek expert advice on financial planning.

This Crowded House aims to help struggling Irish people to move out and live independently, whether through renting, house sharing or buying property.

For those of you who are keen to share your story and get professional help on finding the place of your dreams, apply now to feature on the show’s latest series.
