RTÉ's new show is looking for the best takeaway in all of Ireland
Do you think your local takeaway is the best takeaway in the whole country?
It is one of the most hotly debated topics in literally any friends group, and just about every single person you talk to about it will have a different answer:
What is the best takeaway in all of Ireland?
Well, to finally give us something approaching a concrete answer, RTÉ has put out a call for participants in their brand-new show, The Takeaway.
The national broadcaster is looking for two different sets of folk to get involved:
(1) They are looking for independent takeaways to showcase their cookery skills and compete to be crowned winners at the end of the series, or...
(2) If you are fully convinced that your local takeaway is the absolute best of the best in the country, then you should get in touch and nominate them on their behalf.
There are some rules for participants, such as being at least 18 years old, it must be an independent takeaway or food van, at least two members of staff must be willing to participate, with filming taking place this July and August.
And no sit-in restaurants are allowed to enter this competition. Maybe that could be RTÉ's next show?
