RTE’s new dating show looks as funny and awkward as a fart in mass

“No wonder you can’t get a woman!” Bums, one night stands, racy jokes, and more.

There isn’t a person on this planet that hasn’t had a cringeworthy conversation with their parents about sex, dating and their love life at some stage.

Yep, Jim’s dad from American Pie isn’t the only parent with the ability to absolutely mortify their child, which is why we’re very curious to see what RTÉ’s new dating show, Pulling With My Parents, has to offer.

The main idea of the six-part series is that singletons around the country hand over the dating reins to their parents to give their profiles a full do-over.

In the opening episode tonight (14 October), one of the singletons featured is Jason O’Byrne. When his parents get a look at his secret online Instagram profile, we’re treated to ‘The Happiest Arse in Ireland.’

Aside from that, there’s also chats about one night stands, chat-up lines and sex. Yep, it’s all fairly awkward and we’re naturally intrigued!

Jason isn’t the only person that’s looking for love on tonight’s show.

Also appearing in the opening episode is Sophie La Touche and her mam, Andrea. It’s fair to say that Andrea isn’t too impressed by what she has seen of Sophie’s Tinder profile.

Take a look at what’s in store when Pulling with my Parents starts tonight on RTÉ 2 at 9.30pm.
