Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney share brilliant teaser of new documentary about buying Wrexham

If you are a football fan or just enjoy the comedy stylings of these guys, this should be worth watching.

In November last year, it was announced that Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney would be taking over National League football team Wrexham A.F.C.

If you thought this sounded like the makings of a great series at the time, clearly the people at American network FX did too with the channel picking up a documentary about the actors’ new venture titled Welcome to Wrexham for a two-season order.

A plot synopsis for Welcome to Wrexham reads: “In 2020, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds purchased Wrexham A.F.C. together with the hopes of turning it into an underdog story the whole world could root for… except neither of them had any experience owning a football club.

“The show features Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds as they take on owning a football club in North Wales, bringing glory to the historic yet struggling ‘red dragons’ and the town of Wrexham.”

Check out the very funny teaser for the documentary series below.
