WATCH: Sacha Baron Cohen gives us a teaser for his new show, and he looks as offensively hilarious as ever

It is being described as “perhaps the most dangerous show in the history of television”.

There was a time when the phrase ‘a new comedy by Sacha Baron Cohen’ would be enough to get the world giddy with excitement.

The one-two punch of The Ali G Show, followed by his Borat movie, was nothing less than incredible.

His follow up, Bruno, was his first step towards a downward descent, which was then followed by the not-very-good-at-all The Dictator and The Brothers Grimsby.

However, this new TV project – apparently titled Who Is America? – could be just the thing to put him back on top.

Last week we reported that the show was in progress and that it would somehow feature Donald Trump, but this our first glimpse at actual footage from the show itself, and it is pretty incendiary.

Showtime, the channel that is set to air the new show in America, have described it as “shameless,” “unhinged,” and “cold-blooded”, and that it might be “perhaps the most dangerous show in the history of television.”

Oh yes. We’re excited.

Who Is America? is set to premiere in the States on Sunday 15 July, with no set release date for this side of the Atlantic just yet.
