Just some of the amazing moments from a truly magnificent show.

Friday night saw this year’s Late Late Toy Show air, and while it was different to most years, it really was one of the best in recent memory.

The entire show was done with Covid-19 in mind, with social distancing and safety protocols maintained throughout.

However, it didn’t even come close to taking away from the quality of the show.

While there were too many highlights to name, Adam King and Saoirse Ruane were definitely among the show’s best moments.

Adam is a six-year-old from Cork, whose smile lit up our screens from the second we laid eyes on him.

One of the first things he said, as he held up a sign to everyone, was: “This is a virtual hug for you, I have it because of the coronavirus.”

He was then reunited with a porter from Temple Street Hospital named John Doyle, and to say that they were happy to see each other is an understatement.

Saoirse from Galway also saw her three wishes come true, with Tubridy promising her and her family a trip to Disney World in Orlando.

She had three wishes, a family holiday being the third, and you can see just how much it meant to her when she got the good news:

Dermot Kennedy also surprised the talented singer Michael Moloney, who somehow managed to keep performing like a pro when Kennedy snuck on him.

And perhaps most importantly of all, over €5.2 million was raised for children’s charities.

A show for the ages.
