In his first outing as a feature film director, Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Jon Martello, a confident New York lothario nicknamed Don Jon due to his amazing ability to “pull 10s” each and every weekend.
When he starts relationships with both movie-obsessed Barbara (Scarlett Johansson) and older lover Esther (Julianne Moore) though, he realises that his late-night addiction to porn might just get in the way of his relationship. That, and the fact he’s attempting to go out with two lovers at the same time. We’ve heard that ladies don’t really like it when you do that.
Casting yourself as the lead love interest opposite Scarlett Johannson AND Julianne Moore though? That is undoubtedly one of the greatest perks of being the director of your own film.
The clip, although only short in length, is very funny, stars the legendary Tony Danza as Don Jon Sr. and, most importantly, features the ridiculously talented and muscly actor singing along to Good Vibrations by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.
Any film featuring Mark or any of his Funky Bunch comrades automatically gets the JOE vote.
