Jack's back.
After having a somewhat hit and miss ratio in terms of big screen adaptations, Amazon really did hit their target with sniper-like precision in the first season of Jack Ryan.
By embracing the best elements of Tom Clancy's beloved hero and combining them with a more grounded approach to the present geopolitical landscape, the show instantly became a hit.
It also helped that the action set pieces - although used cleverly and sparsely - were right up there with the best that any major Hollywood film has to offer. Simply put, they were tough as hell and packed a punch.
To complete things, it's impossible not to route for
John Krasinski because he really does capture the 'everyman charm' that makes the character so much fun to watch.

In addition to Krasinski, Season 2 will also star Wendell Pierce (The Wire) as James Greer, Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) as Harriet 'Harry' Baumann and Michael Kelly (House of Cards) as Mike November.
