A strong return to Season 1. It’s back!
When compared to the high standards the first season of Mr. Mercedes set, there’s no denying that the follow-up didn’t meet expectations. Aside from a rather dull mystery, the fact that Brady was incapacitated for the majority of it meant that the show just didn’t have that thrilling cat-and-mouse tension that defined the first season.
On this note, we’re delighted to say that David E. Kelley, the show’s creator, is returning to oversee the writing on the new episodes in the latest Stephen King adaptation.
Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager), Brett Gelman (Lemon, Stranger Things) and Natalie Paul (The Sinner, You) have all been cast as production amps up on the new season.
Deadline have reported that Mulgrew will play Alma Lane, another life-long resident of Bridgton, Ohio. Gelman portrays Roland Finklestein, a smart, passionate defence attorney who is representing Lou Linklatter (Breeda Wool) in her murder trial.
Paul will play A. D. A. Sarah Pace, Prosecutor on Lou’s case.
It’s expected that 2015’s Finders Keepers will serve as the basis for the series’ third season and Jack Bender (Lost, Under the Dome) will return to direct the 10-episode season.
