Seth Rogen has “no plans” to work with James Franco again after sexual misconduct allegations

Seth Rogen and James Franco have been regular screen partners in the past but that looks to be over now.

Seth Rogen has said that he currently has “no plans” to work with James Franco again in the future following allegations of sexual misconduct levelled at Franco, dating back to 2018.

While the case involving two women was ultimately settled and Franco denied the claims from the start, other women women have also made allegations at Franco’s behaviour in the past.

Rogen and Franco have been close friends for many years and have starred alongside each other in films such as Pineapple Express, The Interview and This Is The End amongst others.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Rogen said that, since reassuring fans the pair would work together again around the time of the allegations, “the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now”.

He went on to note that it was “not a coincidence” they hadn’t worked together since the case against Franco and that it “has changed many things in our relationship and our dynamic”.

Though Franco didn’t go into too much detail about the nature of their relationship, he did state: “What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that.”

He also referenced a joke he made alongside Franco on Saturday Night Live in 2014 – before the first allegations were made. The ‘punchline’ involved Rogen posing as an underage girl on Instagram to lure Franco into a date.

The joke starts around the 2:30 mark. Rogen described it as “terrible” and that he “very much regrets” making it.
