Severance has just wrapped up its dynamite sophomore season with the finale episode 'Cold Harbor' (which we've already broken down in spoiler-heavy fashion right here).
With season two's conclusion, all focus now turns to a third season, which has just been confirmed by Apple TV+.
So, when JOE sat down with series star Dichen Lachman to break down 'Cold Harbor', we had to ask about season three - particularly if she was hoping for a quicker turnaround between seasons.
After all, there was a much-publicised wait of almost three years between Severance S1 and S2, something fans are already very eager to avoid again.
In response to JOE's question, the Gemma/Ms Casey actress revealed she shared fans' hope, replying:
"[Between season one and two], there were also things outside of our control that delayed us and hopefully, we don't have anything like that happen again.
"In Los Angeles and in America there were strikes - that contributed to part of that.
"But look, fingers crossed that we get to play again."
Also during the interview, Lachman told JOE that she hopes a third season would explore how season two's shocking final moments affect Gemma, as well as provide some answers for the lingering mysteries involving her character.
"Yeah, I would hope we get to explore that more," she told JOE. "I feel the fans have a lot of questions and, [creator Dan Erickson's] very aware of all the little things that people talk about online. He's really good like that. He's very engaged.
"[Dan's] so brilliant. So, I'm also excited to just see what he comes up with and not put too many expectations on what he has going on and just go along for the ride."
